It is with great sadness that we announce the death of Joe Willard Walker in Selmer, Tennessee, who passed away on November 2, 2024, at the age of 72, leaving to mourn family and friends. Family and friends are welcome to leave their condolences on this memorial page and share them with the family.
He was predeceased by: his parents, Willard Dalton Walker and Margie Pauline Murray Walker; his grandparents, Everett, Mary Ward Walker, Virgil and Lessie Henson Murray; and his brothers-in-law, Lewis Wilkins and Bill Thurmond.
He is survived by: his wife Cathy Walker (Wilkins) of Selmer, TN; his children, Ginger Lauderdale of Booneville, MS and Nicholas Walker of Selmer, TN; his grandchildren, Chase Jones (Chloe) of Perry, GA, Neleh Jones of Oxford, MS and Addisyn Lauderdale of Booneville, MS; his great grandchild Calihan Walker Jones of Perry, GA.; his siblings, Kevin Walker of Selmer, TN and Becky Kiestler of Selmer, TN; and his siblings-in-law, Jerry Wilkins (Patsy) of Finger, TN, Bobbie Thurmond of Jacksonville, FL, Joyce Hoskins of San Antonio, TX and Peggy Wilkins of Memphis, TN.. He is also survived by numerous nieces, nephews, great-nieces, and great-nephews, as well as countless friends.
Visitation was held on Thursday, November 7th 2024 from 10:30 AM to 2:30 PM at the Shackelford Funeral Directors - Selmer (160 Cypress Ave, Selmer, TN 38375). A funeral service was held on Thursday, November 7th 2024 at 2:30 PM at the same location. A burial was held on Thursday, November 7th 2024 at the Clear Creek Cemetery of Selmer, TN (1720 Lawton Rd, Selmer, TN 38375).
