He was predeceased by: his father Kenneth H. Whitley; and his sister Rosalie Sue Whitley. He is survived by: his sons, Jeffrey Dewayne Whitley of Parsons, TN, Joshua Kyle Whitley of Parsons, TN and James Paul Whitley of Parsons, TN; his mother Ruth LaCourse of Selmer, TN; his siblings, Diane Reed of Selmer, TN, Carla Mealer of Caruthersville, MO and Kenneth Whitley of Selmer, TN; and his girlfriend Faye Johnson of Sardis, TN. He is also survived by nieces, nephews, and close friends.
Visitation was held on Monday, November 11th 2024 from 5:30 PM to 9:00 PM and on Tuesday, November 12th 2024 from 8:00 AM to 1:00 PM at the Shackelford Funeral Directors - Selmer (160 Cypress Ave, Selmer, TN 38375). A funeral service was held on Tuesday, November 12th 2024 at 1:00 PM at the same location. A burial was held on Tuesday, November 12th 2024 at the Pleasant Site Cemetery (2036 Pleasant Site Rd, Selmer, TN 38375).
