She was predeceased by: her father Robert Bennie; her siblings, Nelda Hopkins McCarter, Rebecca Hopkins DeBerry, Winston and Rudolph Hopkins; her daughter-in-law Lori Thomas Hawkins; and her grandchildren, Zachary Clay Hawkins and Addison Leigh Westbrook.
She is survived by: her husband Donald Hawkins; her sons, Daryl Hawkins and Darren Hawkins (Tisa); and her grandchildren, J. T. Hawkins (Randa), Lauren Hawkins Reed (Joseph), Cameron Ward, Easton Hawkins (Taylor), Samuel Hawkins (Kayley) and Sophie Hawkins. She is also survived by 7 great-grandchildren.
Memorials may be made to Vanderbilt-Ingram Cancer Center or Kirkland Cancer Center.
