He was predeceased by: his parent William Abner Henson (Mary Olive); and his siblings, Fray Moore Henson, W. C. Henson, Joyce Maness, Marie Rankin, Ann Mitchell and Lila Gage.
He is survived by: his wife Emma Jo Smith Henson; his children, Barry Steven Henson of Memphis, TN, Paul Christopher Henson (Nancy) and Beth Jene Henson of Ramer, TN; and his sister Majorie Kay Gage (Leo Ralph Gage) of Memphis, TN. He is also survived by numerous brothers-in-law and sisters-in-law, and a host of cousins, nieces, and nephews.
Visitation was held on Tuesday, November 5th 2024 from 11:00 AM to 12:00 PM at the Shackelford Funeral Directors - Selmer (160 Cypress Ave, Selmer, TN 38375). A funeral service was held on Tuesday, November 5th 2024 at 12:00 PM at the same location. A burial was held on Tuesday, November 5th 2024 at the Mt. Gilead Cemetery (6185 Rowsey School Rd, Bethel Springs, TN 38315).
