She was predeceased by: her parents, J. C. Dicks and Louise Coln Dicks; her husband Hubert Edgar Barnes; and her siblings, Linda Griggs, Butch Dicks and Jimmy Dicks.
She is survived by: her daughter Kathy Chadwick (David) of Hernando, MS; her sister Shirley Jernigan (David) of Selmer, TN; her granddaughter Stephanie Parr (Justin); and her great grandchildren, Tyler Rogers (Kristyn), Blake Wilson (Phoenix), Austin Danielson (Taylor) and Maryanna Duncan. She is also survived by eight great great grandchildren.
Visitation was held on Thursday, January 9th 2025 from 11:00 AM to 1:00 PM at the Shackelford Funeral Directors - Selmer (160 Cypress Ave, Selmer, TN 38375). A funeral service was held on Thursday, January 9th 2025 at 1:00 PM at the same location. A burial was held on Thursday, January 9th 2025 at the Falcon Cemetery (756 Falcon Rd, Selmer, TN 38375).
