She was predeceased by: her parents, Burton Lawson and Ottie Tackett Jones; her former husband John William Cofer; her husband Billy Joe Burnette; and her sons, John Drexel Cofer and William Jeffrey "Pedie" Cofer.
She is survived by: her children, Melvin Cofer and Teresa Busby; and her daughter-in-law Brenda Cofer. She is also survived by 12 Grandchildren, 6 Great Grandchildren, and a host of nieces and nephews.
Visitation will be held on Tuesday, February 25th 2025 from 10:00 AM to 12:00 PM at the Shackelford Funeral Directors - Selmer (160 Cypress Ave, Selmer, TN 38375). A funeral service will be held on Tuesday, February 25th 2025 at 12:00 PM at the same location. A burial will be held on Tuesday, February 25th 2025 at the Powell's Chapel Cemetery (6890 Powell Chapel Rd, Middleton, TN 38044).
