He was predeceased by: his parents, Lonnie Jimmy and Minnie Pearl McCormack Sims; his wife Geraldine Mitchell; and his brother Obra Sims. He is survived by: his children, Annette Brewer (Troy), Elton Sims (Brenda), David Sims (Roxanne), Barry Sims (Amy) and Terry Sims (Janice); his brother E. G. Sims (Joy); his sister-in-law Joyce Sims; his grandchildren, Matt Sims (Tarra), Mitch Sims (Amanda), Ashley Wilson (Tyler), John Sims, Barrett Sims (Kayla), Mason Sims, McLain Sims, Daniel Sims (Kristin), Colten Sims (Lauren), Nike Temple (Brian), Naomi Johnston, Ben Brewer and Allison Brewer; and his great grandchildren, Maddie, Turner, Ansleigh, Evie, Olivia, Allie, Galilee, Sophia, Jackson Sims, Rachel, Sarah, Tristan Temple, Callie, Aaron Johnston and Rehab. He is also survived by 13 grandchildren and 9 great grandchildren.
