In the vast expanse of eternity, Bettye Sue shall find rest, cradled in the arms of everlasting peace. And as we bid Bettye Sue farewell, her loved ones carry with them the precious gift of her memory, a beacon of hope guiding them through the shadows of sorrow towards the light of a new dawn.
She was predeceased by: her husband James D. McClain; her children, Jerry K. McClain, Mike T. McClain, Melody J. McClain Clayton and Ronnie G. McClain; and her sister Nancy Sims Burns.
She is survived by: her daughters, Jan McClain Parson (Dennis) and Sherry McClain Crumby (Tommy). She is also survived by 15 grandchildren, 27 great grandchildren, 5 great great grandchildren and one on the way; a niece and a nephew.
Visitation was held on Wednesday, April 9th 2025 from 10:00 AM to 12:00 PM at the Shackelford Funeral Directors - Selmer (160 Cypress Ave, Selmer, TN 38375). A funeral service was held on Wednesday, April 9th 2025 from 12:00 PM to 12:00 PM at the same location. A burial was held on Wednesday, April 9th 2025 at the Gravel Hill Cemetery (86 Tom Baker Rd, Guys, TN 38339).
