He was predeceased by: his parents, James Oliver and Blanche Reed Young; his wife Doris Ann Willoughby; and his siblings, R. V. Young, Irene Spivey (Kermit), Carrie Mae Fondren (Frank) and Jean Fondren (James "Sonny").
He is survived by: his sons, Greg Young (Retha) of Savannah and Tommy Young of Lexington, Tennessee; his grandchildren, Abby Alexander (Josh) and Cassie Benson (Brock); his great grandchildren, Brody Alexander of Savannah, Tennessee, Kandler Benson of Savannah, Tennessee, Sadie Alexander of Savannah, Tennessee, Garner Benson of Savannah, Tennessee and Tucker Benson of Savannah, Tennessee; and his sister Mary Gilliam (Garland) of Savannah, Tennessee.. He is also survived by friends, especially his two granddaughters and his great-grandchildren.
