He was predeceased by: his parents, Tom Petty and Hester Tidwell Steakley. He is survived by: his spouse Mary Louise Calhoun; his children, Christopher Lynn Petty of Savannah, Tuesday Smith of Savannah, Nicholas Petty of Illinois, Destiny Beavers of Savannah and Eric Beavers of Savannah, Tennessee; and his grandchildren, Dalton Smith, Dalynn Beavers, Rilynn Beavers, Logan Morris and Kaycen Morris. He is also survived by two brothers and five sisters.
