With heavy hearts, we announce the death of Mary Gayle Mathis (Savannah, Tennessee), who passed away on February 24, 2021 at the age of 83. Family and friends are welcome to send flowers or leave their condolences on this memorial page and share them with the family.

She was predeceased by: her parents, George P. Brewer and Robbie Louise Caperton Brewer; and her children, Robert G. Brewer and Georgia Middleton. She is survived by: her children, Teresa Pickens of Adamsville, Tennessee, Hubert Mathis Jr. of Newbern, James Mathis of Stout and Joe R. Mathis of Iuka, Mississippi. She is also survived by 13 grandchildren; and 18 great grandchildren.
