She was predeceased by: her parents, James Arthur and Ivie Lunn Cole; her stepmother Annie Shelton Cole; her children, Brenda Austin and Dennis Burgess; and her siblings, Harlan Cole, Elgan Cole, Tom Cole, Audrey Flory and Edith Shelton.
She is survived by: her son David C Burgess (Ann) of Savannah, Tennessee; her children-in-law, Cindy Burgess of Savannah, Tennessee and James Austin of Savannah, Tennessee; her grandchildren, Kevin Austin, Cindy Smith, Jason Burgess, James Burgess, Elliott Burgess, Nicky Burgess and Haley Surratt; and her sister Shelia West. She is also survived by 15 great grandchildren.
