He was predeceased by: his parents, Fitzugh D. Hardin and Alta D. Brown Hardin; his wife Ruth Ann Ables; his son Jerry T. Ables; and his siblings, Aaron, Aubery, Jeff, Gladis, Mary and Jane.
He is survived by: his children, Tammy Hardin of Savannah, Michael Hardin of Savannah, Johnny Hardin of Savannah and Frank Hardin of Kentucky; and his sister Hazel Marie Gill of Arkansas. He is also survived by eight grandchildren; six great grandchildren.
