She was predeceased by: her husband Charles Smith; her parents, Wilburn Brock and Luna Davis Brock; her siblings, Opaline Brock Grubbs, Billie Jean Brock and James Brock; and her grandsons, Bradley Smith and Roger Kirkman.

She is survived by: her children, Betty Smith Kirkman (John) of Crump, Tennessee, Shirl Vick of Muskogee, Oklahoma and Mike Smith (Regina) of Tupelo; her sister Louise Brock Knight (Ray) of Brandon; and her brother-in-law F. T. Grubbs of Tyrone, Georgia.. She is also survived by nine grandchildren; 26 great-grandchildren; and four great-great-grandchildren.
