He was predeceased by: his wife Sue Nell Lewis; his parents, Garfield Lewis and Lula Scates Lewis; his siblings, Alene Hodgin, Alma Lewis, Vonnie Lewis, Hooper Lewis, Tim Lewis, Rex Lewis, Elmer Lewis and Lawton Lewis; and his nephew Gary Hodgin.

He is survived by: his nieces and nephews, Sharon Fifer, Wayne Lewis, Pat Lewis, Tim Lewis, Steve Lewis, Stanley Lewis, Terry Lewis, Jan Dornellas, Douglas Lewis and Julie Mobiglia.
