He was loved and cherished by many people including: his parents, James Riley (J. R.) and Dorthea Reynolds Stricklin; his children, Lisa DeAnne Stricklin of West Memphis, Laura Denise Watson of Savannah, Donna Elaine Bishop of Bryon, GA and James William Stricklin of Memphis; his siblings, Mac Stricklin of Savannah, Elaine Stricklin Raines of Hot Springs, AR and Annette Stricklin Williams of Paducah, KY.; and his son Construction. He was also cherished by several nieces, nephews, great nieces, great nephews, and one g-great niece.
