He was predeceased by: his parent Walter Morris; his siblings, Johnny, Earl, Ancil, Floyd, Roy, Coy Morris and Oakley Wesson; his grandchildren, Jonathan Morris and Jessica Morris; and his great grandchildren, Abigail Foster, Quinn Foster and Zayin Morris.
He is survived by: his parent Effie Morris; his spouse Arvella Benson; his children, James Boyd Morris (Judy) of Savannah, Teresa Rogers (Steve) of Savannah, Jonas Morris (Jane) of Savannah, Kenneth Morris (Tammy) of Elsberry, Lesa Roach (Melvin) of Savannah and Dewayne Morris (Tracy) of Savannah, Tennessee; and his sisters, Virginia Morris Smith of Savannah and Willidean Morris King of Lexington. He is also survived by 20 grandchildren, 34 great grandchildren.
