It is with great sadness that we announce the death of Billy Joe Ross (Savannah, Tennessee), who passed away on September 15, 2023, at the age of 88, leaving to mourn family and friends. Family and friends are welcome to leave their condolences on this memorial page and share them with the family.

He was predeceased by: his children, Cecle (Betty Olene Ross), Billy Eckstine Ross, Dean Whitehead "Bubba" and Linda Bingham; and his siblings, Maud Goodlow, Dora Ross, Betty Jo Casey, Cecle Ross, Jr. and Louis Ross.

He is survived by: his wife Dorothy Ross of Chicago, Illinois; his children, Gloria Jones of Las Vegas, Shelia Ross of Chicago, Illinois, John Ross of Savannah, Bill Hill of Maryland and Clarence Whitehead of Chicago, Illinois; his brother Charles Ross; and his daughter-in-law Betty Nell Ross. He is also survived by 9 grandchildren; and 10 great grandchildren.
