She was predeceased by: her husband James J. Sharkey; her parents, James Wesley Vandiver and Minnie Inez Morris Vandiver; and her siblings, Dorris Marcum, Charline Rindels and Donald Vandiver.
She is survived by: her siblings, Barbara Brown Martin (Joseph) of Nashville, Marti Sadlak of Bolivar, Nell Rose Stanfield of Texas, Brad Vandiver (Barbara) of Jackson and Larry Vandiver (Merita) of Bolivar. She is also survived by numerous nieces and nephews.
