He was predeceased by: his parents, Henry "Slim" and Louise Taylor Childress; his wife Kathleen; his siblings, Charles Childress and Glendine Childress; and his granddaughter Ashley Johnson.
He is survived by: his niece Lisa Childress; his stepchildren, Michael Adair, Jimmy Adair and Maryjane Adair Lovell; and his grandchildren, Jessica Johnson, Brian Johnson, Zac Johnson, Cody Adair, Kaci Adair Wilson, Anna Brooke Adair, Payton Adair and Brandon Adair. He is also survived by nine great grandchildren; and a host of friends.
