He was predeceased by: his parents, William "Bill" Irvin and Hilda Grace Newsome Sartain; and his granddaughter Whitney Kala Akins. He is survived by: his wife Brenda Nance Irvin; his children, Tabitha Johnson and Jason Irvin (April); his grandchildren, Kyle Harris (Brittany), Gabe Irvin and Riley Belk; his great grandchildren, Attie Dixon and Briella Harris; and his siblings, Johnny Irvin, Jim Sartain and Angela Green.
