It is with deep sorrow that we announce the death of Rowena Phillips of Sale Creek, Tennessee, born in Rhea County, Tennessee, who passed away on September 20, 2022, at the age of 92, leaving to mourn family and friends. She was predeceased by: her parents, Hezekiah E. Caraway and Eliza Caraway (Harmon "Bo" Gentry); her former husband Kermit R. Phillips; her son-in-law David J. Horton; her sisters, Lucille White, Rosa Hall, Margaret Gallion, Kattie Caraway, Mildred Henderson and Virginia Ann Caraway; her half-sister Hettie Caraway White; her brothers, Bill Fred Caraway and Marion Caraway; and her husband Harmon "Bo" Gentry.
She is survived by: her great grandchildren, Leo and Ian; her children, Judy Gentry Horton and Timothy Gentry (Cherie); her grandchildren, Taylor Gentry (Amanda) and Mindy Britt (Scott); and her great grandchild Max Britt.
