She was predeceased by: her husband Jim "Ott" Ottinger; her former husband Danny Hixson; and her parents, Ottis McDowell and Clemmie McDowell. She is survived by: her daughters, Karen Gunter and Brenda Ottinger; her grandchildren, Jimmy Smith (Lisa), Kristen Montgomery (Ryan) and Jamie Nichols (Chelsi); her great grandchildren, Brenon Smith, Raelynn and Hayden Nichols; and her siblings, Marie Mathis (Frank) and Randy McDowell. She is also survived by several nieces, nephews.
Visitation was held on Thursday, December 12th 2024 from 4:00 PM to 8:00 PM at the Williamson & Sons Funeral Home (8852 Dayton Pike, Soddy-Daisy, TN 37379). A funeral service was held on Friday, December 13th 2024 at 2:00 PM at the same location.
