It is with great sadness that we announce the death of John W. Rawlston Sr. (Sale Creek, Tennessee), who passed away on November 26, 2018, at the age of 89, leaving to mourn family and friends. He was predeceased by: his wife Betty Thomas Rawlston; his parents, Sam Rawlston and Blanche Rawlston; and his siblings, Lamar Rawlston, Dorothy Williams, Edna Sims, Rita Barger, Mary, Winnie, Alma and Clara Mae Rawlston.
He is survived by: his wife Shirley Rawlston (Evans); his sons, John Jr. (Kathy Veazey) and Mark Rawlston (Gloria); his stepdaughters, Lea Anne Perez (Ed) and Leslie Forstmann (Kevin); his grandchildren, Keith Rawlston, Sallie Rawlston, Tayler Forstmann, Caleb, Joshua and Makayla Perez; and his great grandchildren, Mays and Cade Rawlston.
In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to Soddy Daisy High School, 618 Sequoyah Road, Soddy Daisy, TN 37379 for the improvement of the John Rawlston Press Box (specify John Rawlston in the memo) or the building fund at Rechoboth Baptist Church, Box 1450, Soddy Daisy, TN 37384.
