He was loved and cherished by many people including: his son Michael Anthony Marks, Jr.; his mother Marcella Marks; his sister Felicia Marks Gieske (Jay); his sister-in-law Priscilla Marks; his nieces and nephews, Jake Gieske (Becca), Lauran Gieske, Hannah Marks and Hayden Marks; his daughter Emily Ann Marks; and his brother Mitch Marks.

In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to Children's Hospital of Alabama or to St. Jude Children's Research Hospital.
