He was predeceased by: his parent Spencer Bennett; his brothers, Jerry Bennett, Tim Bennett, Steve Bennett and Floyd Bennett; and his nephews, Tracy Bennett, Mark Clay and Jimmy Roberts.
He is survived by: his parent Edith Lily Bennett; his daughter Carol Waldo (Tim) of Knoxville, TN; and his siblings, Judy Hyduck, Joann Clay, Nancy McKinney and Raymond Bennett.
In lieu of flowers, memorial donations are asked to be made to St. Jude's Childrens Hospital, 500 St Jude Place, Memphis, TN 38105.
