He was predeceased by: his parents, Roscoe Shelton and Laura Moore Shelton; and his siblings, Gene, Wade, Austin Shelton, Eula Tyler, Helen Herrell, Edith Shelton, Leona Neal and Jerleen Range.
He is survived by: his wife Shirley Morgan Shelton; his sons, Rev. Greg Shelton (Renee), Gary Shelton (Penny) and Larry Shelton; his grandchildren, Melissa DeBord (Kylor), Elijah Shelton (Holly), Matt Parker (Emmy), Haley Ramirez (Alejandro) and Hayden Carroll (Cierstin Phifer); his great grandchildren, Jaxton, Blayklee DeBord, Marshall Shelton and Kye Parker; and his brother Parlon Shelton (Josephine). He is also survived by nieces and nephews; and many friends.
Visitation was held on Monday, April 7th 2025 from 5:00 PM to 7:00 PM and on Tuesday, April 8th 2025 from 11:00 AM to 12:00 PM. A funeral service was held on Tuesday, April 8th 2025 at 12:00 PM at the New Bethel Missionary Baptist Church (12620 Lakeshore Dr, Rutledge, TN 37861). A burial was held on Tuesday, April 8th 2025 at 1:00 PM at the Mitchell Springs Cemetery.
