He is survived by: his wife Bertie Hodge Howerton; his children, Pat Watson (Earl), Larry Howerton (Lisbeth) and Terry Howerton (Jean); his grandchildren, Valerie Evans (Elton), Neil Howerton (Amanda), Tori Howerton and Allie Howerton; his great grandchildren, Landon Patterson, Garrett Patterson, Grace Howerton and Amelia Howerton; and his sisters, Ruby Spradling and Nadine Roach (Troy). He is also survived by several nieces and nephews.
