She was predeceased by: her husband Jessie Lawson; her children, Lester, Darrell Lawson (Doc), Patricia Ann and Edith Rose Lawson; her grandson Danny Lawson; her parents, Herbert Gilbert and Fannie Gilbert; and her siblings, Jessie, Marshall, Paul Gilbert, Mae Taylor and Cellia Long.

She is survived by: her children, James Lawson (Myrtle), Greg Lawson (Nett), Judy Myers (Junior), Kaye Ross and Wanda Slaton (Rick); and her sisters, Betty Wolfe and Ruby Hounshell. She is also survived by Grandchildren, Great Grandchildren and Great-Great Grandchildren.
