He is survived by: his wife Catherine Scott of Rutledge; his brother Henry Scott (Helen) of Summerville, SC; his stepchildren, Robert Ashworth of Columbia, SC, Teresa Livesay (Donald) of Ponora, IA and Timothy Ashworth of Ponora, IA; and his siblings-in-law, Faye Hurst and Victor Hurst. He is also survived by 5 step-grandchildren; 4 great-grandchildren.
