He was predeceased by: his parents, Frank Tharp and Ethel Tharp Hammock; and his siblings, Vonda Epperson, Donald Tharp and Lawrence Tharp.

He is survived by: his sisters, Juanita Camper, Carolyn Parker and Marilyn Parker; his nephew Eddie Tharp; his niece Shona Parker; his great-niece Amber Talgo; and also Parker Talgo. He is also survived by several nieces and nephews.
