He was predeceased by: his parents, William Edgar Bugg and Nezzie Mae West Bugg; his wife Evelyn Inez Bugg; and his siblings, Horace Bugg, Dayton Bugg, Ida Bugg Overton and Katie Bugg Moon.

He is survived by: his daughter Lynn Goad (James); his grandchildren, James Goad and Katie Smith (Tyler); and his great grandchildren, Lillie Davis, Mason Goad and Aubrey Smith.
