He is survived by: his wife Virginia Ellen Newton Stem; his children, Randall Scott Stem, Kenny Stem, William Dan Peyton, Robert Russell Stem, Shannon Denise Cornelison and Melissa Deanne Ashford; his stepdaughters, Brandy Michelle Hillis and Marilyn Renee Phillips; his sisters, Mary Alice Sanders, Judy Faye Ashford and Betty McCord; his grandchildren, Kristin Underwood, Ashleigh Hamby, Emilee Littleton, Destin Chase Peyton, Hannah Peyton, Robert Tyler Stem, Ryan Travis Stem, Haleigh Jordan, Amber Stem, Makayla Danielle Jackson, Matthew Riley Cornelison, Joseph Troy Cornelison, Quintin Allan Ashford, Miranda Leanne Ashford, Jacob Don Ashford and Kendall Holt; and his stepgrandchildren, Nikki Luark, Sara Kaitlyn Poe, Alicia Echo Miles, Alex Powers and Austina Powers. He is also survived by several great-grandchildren.
