She was predeceased by: her parents, Roy Nipper and Deliah Lannom Nipper; her former husband Lee Coleman, Jr.; her son Greg Coleman; her siblings, Billy Nipper, Bud Nipper, Dorothy "Dot" Sissom, Francis Raider (Nipper), Thomas "Tom" Nipper, Connie Black (Nipper), Alford Nipper, George Nipper, Jimmy Nipper and Elizabeth McDonald (Nipper); and her granddaughter Amanda Burks.
She is survived by: her husband Leon Burks; her daughter Debbie Jakes (Alan); her stepchildren, Chad Burks (Lesley) and Amy Burks; her brothers, Paul Nipper and Johnny Nipper (Marge); and her grandchildren, Alan Jakes, Jr., Alison Hicks and Amber Stone. She is also survived by eight great-grandchildren.
