She was predeceased by: her husband Ernest Layne; her parents, James "Bud" and Rena Sneed of Virginia; and her siblings, Ray Sneed (Vergie), Roy Sneed (Ruth), Willie Sneed (Mildred), David Sneed (Dean), Stella Lorance (Rufus) and Dolly Sutton (Glendon).
She is survived by: her daughter Peggy Harrell (Bill); her granddaughters, Allyson Long (Kevin) and Mary Layne Harrell; and her great grandchildren, Tessa, Blake and Stella Long. She is also survived by other relatives and friends.
In lieu of flowers, the family requests that memorials be made to Alive Hospice of Murfreesboro.
