She was predeceased by: her parents, James Marvin McKinon and Betty Jane Bugg McKinon. She is survived by: her husband Bryant Carter; her daughters, Tammie Hooten (Kirk) and Angela Pewett (Blair); her siblings, Terry McKinon, Lewis McKinon, Joan Jordan, Cheryl Cremeans and Lisa Manning; and her grandchildren, Blake Dolberry, Tyler Dolberry, Garrett Hooten, Kaylee Hooten and Emma Hooten.
