He was predeceased by: his parents, J. T. Tidwell and Virginia Tidwell. He is survived by: his wife Ann Tidwell; his children, David (Melissa Tidwell), Chris (Melynda Tidwell), Phyllis (John Means) and Johnny Patterson of Rutherford; his brother Gearld Tidwell of Newbern; his grandchildren, Lisha Pickard (Brian), Ashley Childs (Seth), Lindsey Rayborn (RJ), Abbye Edwards (Mitch), Brady Tidwell (Blair) and Kaleb Tidwell (Katie); and his great grandchildren, Farrah, Adam, Britley, Lucas, Brodie, Reese, Tripp, Adley Jo and Tucker.
