He was predeceased by: his parents, Robert Lee Toombs and Mary Alline Manus Toombs; and his grandchildren, Bionca Marie Toombs and Brittany Leigh Toombs. He is survived by: his wife Norma Ruth Goad Toombs; his children, Rebecca Carol Toombs and Randy Lee Toombs (Ann-Marie); his grandson Randy Lee Toombs, II (Lori-Beth Nicole); and his great grandchildren, Loralee Brionca Toombs and Randy Lee Toombs, III.

Visitation was held on Saturday, January 18th 2025 from 11:00 AM to 1:00 PM at the Jennings and Ayers Funeral Home (820 S Church St, Murfreesboro, TN 37130). A graveside service was held on Saturday, January 18th 2025 at 1:30 PM at the Milton Cemetery.
