He was predeceased by: his parents, Horace Barrett and Christine Williams Barrett; his wife Faye Mitchell Barrett; his children, James Barrett and Shannon Cooper; and his siblings, Carey Barrett and Eleanor Barrett.
He is survived by: his children, Eric Barrett (Jenny), Steve Barrett (Lynn) and Nikki Brown. He is also survived by six grandchildren; and five great-grandchildren.
