He is survived by: his wife Faye Burkett; his son Jeff Burkett (Judy) of Dyer; his granddaughters, Tanya Burkett of Rutherford and Leia Burkett of Dyer; and his sister Julia Bobbit of Bradford.

A funeral service was held on Thursday, October 31st 2024 from 2:00 PM to 3:00 PM at the same location. A burial was held on Thursday, October 31st 2024 from 3:15 PM to 4:15 PM at the Rutherford Cemetery.
