It is with great sadness that we announce the death of Elizabeth Jeanette Talley-Thacker of Rossville, Tennessee, who passed away on May 20, 2023, at the age of 96, leaving to mourn family and friends. She was predeceased by: her former husband William M. Talley; her husband Harold Thacker; her son Melvin Prosser, Jr.; her parents, Joseph Burney and May Bell Burney; and her siblings, Carl, Joe, Richard, John, Jim, David, Dan, Ronald, Alice, Tina and Loretta.
She is survived by: her daughter Lavenia Quarles; her grandchildren, Mike Kitchens (Doris), Becky Meeks (Neil), Rhonda Harrison (Randy), Lacey Russell (Bryan), Sabra King (Bryan) and Haden Sowder (Shelby Silvers); her great grandchild Megan; her grandchildren, Melanie, Mark, Will, Laila, Brandon, Bryson, Olivia, Braylen and Weston; her great great grandchild Junior; and her great grandchildren, Jamie and Conner. She is also survived by several nieces and nephews, cousins, and many dear friends.
