He was predeceased by: his parents, Dude Burton and Marie Burton; his wife Kathy Burton; his children, Rick and Sherry Burton; and his sister Betty Jo Leyda.
He is survived by: his sons, Robert Burton (Leslie), Michael Burton and William Thomas Jr. Burton; and his sister Virginia Cole. He is also survived by six granddaughters; four great-grandchildren.
