He was predeceased by: his mother Nell Sims Weathers of Knoxville, TN; and his brother JT. He is survived by: his children, Bill Jr. (Beth) of Savannah, GA, Frank (Julienne) of Knoxville, TN and Katherine of Loganville, GA.; and his sister Lois L. Trent of Rogersville.
