He was predeceased by: his parents, William Edwin, II and Helen Perry Hockett; his nephew William Johnson; his great-niece Chloe Workman; and his half-brother Richard Easton.

He is survived by: his wife Tina Goddard Hockett; his children, Leanne Carol Macias (John) of LasVegas, NV., William Edwin Hockett IV (Jessette) of Klamath Falls, OR. and Brian Curtis Hockett (Larissa) of Orange County, CA.; his stepchildren, David Goddard (Joanna) of Avilla, Scott Peck (Amy) of Brownsburg and Amber Darst (Mike) of Indianapolis; and his sister Jaquilyn Hockett Johnson (Larry) of Verdon, Nebraska.. He is also survived by many grandchildren and great grandchildren.

In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to Shriners Children's Hospital, 950 W Faris Rd., Greeneville, SC. 29605, in memory of William Edwin Hockett, III and in honor of Colton Darst.
