It is with great sadness that we announce the death of Vilene Dowell of Rogersville, Tennessee, born in Jonesville, Virginia, who passed away on November 2, 2022, at the age of 88, leaving to mourn family and friends. She was predeceased by: her sons, Burley Eugene Dowell and Robert Lee Dowell; her parents, Joe Garrett and Willie Garrett; and her siblings, Georgie Eagle, Mary Lee Garrett, Thelma Jean Garrett, Andrew Garrett, Otis Garrett, Lawrence Garrett and William Henry Garrett.
She is survived by: her daughter Dian Dowell; her granddaughter Candace Rose Dowell; and her great grandchild Katelynn Ree Dowell.
