He was predeceased by: his parents, Claude Young and Irue Gross Young; his sisters, Bobbie Fletcher and Thula Stone; and his niece Kim Eddington.
He is survived by: his wife Billie Vander Voort Young; his children, Julie John (Eric) of Marietta, Kelly Williams (Bob) of Chattanooga and Bo Young (Erica) of Atlanta; his grandchildren, Blakely Wilde, Dr. Lucas John and Brady John; his nieces, Jil Fletcher and Joni Davis; his great-niece Dana Eddington; and his cousins, Sandy Askins, Jeep Dye and Charline Snyder.
