She was predeceased by: her parents, Bill Parrott and Martha Williams Parrott; and her siblings, Brenda Turner, Willie Parrott and David Parrott.
She is survived by: her husband Nathan E. Merrell; her children, Rebecca Redding (Kevin) of Rogersville and Suttles (Stacey) of Whitesburg; and her brother Bob Parrott (Gloria). She is also survived by ten grandchildren and five great-grandchildren.
