She was predeceased by: her son Thomas Manuel; her parents, Henry Brooks and Dora Mitchell Brooks; her siblings, Birdie Greene, Mary Holly, Hallie Smith, Katherine Snapp, Henrietta Jones, Emma Durham, Annie Gillenwater, Lorraine Coleman, Freeman Brooks and Amos Brooks; and her stepbrother William Haase.
She is survived by: her daughters, Iva Blakely (Kenneth) of Knoxville, Trish Manuel Proffitt of Morristown and Julia Mills (Frank) of Morristown. She is also survived by 9 grandchildren; 20 great-grandchildren; 4 great-great-grandchildren; several nieces and nephews.
