He was predeceased by: his parents, Estell Mayes and Hazel Mayes; and his sisters, Barbara Hamblen and Linda Williams. He is survived by: his wife Peggy Mayes; his children, Jeaneen Mahan (Stacy), Ronald Jack Mayes, Jr. (Diane) and Jeffrey Mayes (Rio); his grandchildren, Blake Mayes, Ashley Sloan, Renessa Mayes, Lauren Toumazos, Leslie Bates, Emerald Mayes, Krisha Hambright and Kara Beth Mahan; his great grandchild Nolan Dean; his sister Eloise Edwards; and his nieces, Stacy Christian and Carman Edwards. He is also survived by several nieces and nephews.
