He was predeceased by: his parents, Stanley Rolen and Becky Jane Breeden Rolen; and his siblings, Helen Howard, Margaret Hurst, Jake Rolen and Glen Rolen.

He is survived by: his wife Judy Crawley Rolen; his children, Melissa Rolen and Scott Rolen of Rogersville; and his grandchildren, Eric Rolen (Makala) and Genny Barger. He is also survived by several nieces and nephews.
